Amrita Lahiri

Amrita Lahiri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship. Amrita's research examines patterns and processes through which organizational decision-making is influenced by prior experiences and outcomes. She is particularly interested in understanding the impact of adverse business conditions on subsequent organizational decision-making and entrepreneurial choices. Her research has been published or is forthcoming in leading journals including Academy of Management Review, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Small Business Economics, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Journal of Management. Her research has been awarded the 2022 Helena Renko award for research impact and she has been a finalist for the SMS (Strategic Management Society) best paper for practice implications and the SMS best Ph.D. paper prize, as well as a nominee for the SMS best conference paper prize. Her research has also appeared in the Academy of Management best conference proceedings. Amrita serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Business Venturing and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. She earned her Ph.D. from the Foster School of Business at University of Washington, Seattle.
