Susan Gill

Dr. Gill is an associate professor in the Department of Accounting. Her main area of instruction is financial accounting, which she teaches at both the undergraduate and masters' levels. She also serves as the Director of the Honors and Business innovation Leadership Experience (HABILE) program. Dr. Gill's research employs primarily archival research methods, examining market reactions to accounting information. She has also published manuscripts targeting accounting practitioners and educators. Among the journals in which she has published are the Journal of Accounting Research, Advances in Quantitative Analysis of Finance and Accounting, the Journal of Taxation, and Advances in Taxation. She has also served as a reviewer for a variety of accounting journals. During her time at WSU, Dr. Gill has been involved in a number of organizations including the Association for Faculty Women, for which she is a past president. She has been recognized by the student groups Beta Alpha Psi and Mortarboard as Instructor of the Year and Distinguished Professor, respectively.
