Lily Zhu

Dr. Zhu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship at Washington State University’s Carson College of Business. She currently teaches the Strategic Management capstone course (MGMT 491). Broadly speaking, Dr. Zhu’s research examines the implications of people’s emotional experiences and how they can manage their emotions in ways that improve performance and well-being. Her first stream of research examines the role of emotions and emotion management in entrepreneurship and creativity. Her second stream of research examines how emotions shape the way individual employees and corporate executives make decisions. Dr. Zhu's research won the Best Paper Award and the Distinguished Paper Award from the Academy of Management annual meetings. In addition, her research has also been featured in media outlets such as National Public Radio, Psychology Today, and Yahoo News.
