Mario Reyes

Mario G. Reyes is a clinical professor in the Department of Finance and Management Science. He received his PhD in Finance from the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. He mentors students in the Cougar Investment Fund and teaches corporate finance and investments. His research interests include the role of information in financial markets, the interdependence among stock markets, and financial liberalization of foreign stock markets. His industry engagement has focused on energy executive financial management training and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) valuation. He comes to the Carson College of Business from the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics where he served in various capacities over 31 years. Reyes retired from Idaho in June 2016 as Dean Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of Finance.
