Yaou Hu is a third-year doctoral student in the School of Hospitality Business Management at Washington State University. She completed her undergraduate studies and obtained her master's degree from Sun Yat-Sen University. Before joining the HBM program at Washington State University, she worked in the hospitality industry for a year and was mainly in charge of hotel operation analysis and marketing analysis. Her current research interests involve consumers' individual differences (e.g. personality traits, cultural values, cultural models), consumers' adoption of information and communication technologies (e.g. social media, mobile applications), and consumers' online information sharing and generation behaviors (e.g. eWOM) in the hospitality and tourism industry. She is teaching HBM 235: Travel, Society, and Business.
