Babu John Mariadoss

Dr. Babu John Mariadoss is the recipient of the 2018 Louis W. Stern Award from the American Marketing Association (AMA) for his article in the Journal of Marketing Research, the 2018 Exceptional Service Award from WSU's Office of Research, the Carson College of Business' (CCB) Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award for 2017-18, and CCB's 2015-16 Outstanding Faculty Service Award. Professor Mariadoss is an Associate Professor and International Business Fellow in the Department of Marketing and International Business at Washington State University. He received his PhD in Business Administration (major in marketing) from the University of Houston in 2007. He currently teaches Principles of Marketing (undergraduate), International Marketing (undergraduate and graduate), the Ph.D. Seminar in Marketing Strategy, and the Ph.D. Seminar in Research Design. Dr. Babu John Mariadoss' primary research interests have focused on various aspects of Marketing Strategy theory and practice, including topics on B2B Relationships, Sales Strategy, Branding Strategy, and International Marketing. Professor Mariadoss is Associate Editor for the European Journal of Marketing, and his research has been accepted for publication or published in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Marketing Letters, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of International Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research and Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management. He currently serves on the editorial review board of Journal of International Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, and Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management. Dr. Babu John Mariadoss is currently a WSU Honors Faculty Fellow, and Fellow of the Direct Selling Education Foundation. He received the CCB's Dean's Excellence Fellow Awards during the years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, the 'Mary Kay Dissertation Award' from the Academy of Marketing Science, and the 'AMA Sales SIG Doctoral Dissertation Award' from the AMA's Selling and Sales Management Special Interest Group. Dr. Babu John Mariadoss is currently the Chair of CCB's IBUS Fellows Group, the Co-chair of WSU Faculty Senate Research and Arts Committee, the Co-chair of the Centers, Institutes and Laboratories (CILs) Task Force, member of the Faculty Status Committee, member of the Senate Steering Committee, and an Ex-Officio member of the Faculty Senate.
