Nori Pearson

Nori is an instructor in the Department of Accounting where she teaches financial and managerial cost accounting courses. Nori works closely with PhD teaching assistance students to help prepare them for conducting face-to-face classroom instruction when they are assigned to teach the Introductory Accounting courses alongside hers or as her teaching assistant. Ms. Pearson served ten years at the faculty advisor of the Delta Epsilon Beta Alpha Psi chapter, assisting them in achieving superior status each year. After stepping down as faculty advisor she has continued to mentor students in their progress toward establishing their professional careers. Nori served as a firm liaison for the department for eleven years until the Moss Adams Accounting Career Advisor position was filled. She also served on the accounting department scholarship committee and previously served as chair of this committee for eleven years. Nori believes her courses should be redesigned when new innovative software emerges that adds to the student experience or skill set (either professional or personally). Nori comes from a corporate background where she has served as both as a consultant and project manager for large corporations after working her way up through the various accounting positions. Nori has twice received the Carson College of Business Outstanding Clinical Professor award. She has led an Ireland study abroad program for the two years preceding Covid and is looking forward to another great Ireland experience with her students in 2024. Nori loves Harley tours, four-wheeling, traveling, and bible studies.
