Wayne Xu
Wayne Xu, a second-year Ph.D. student and instructor at the School of Hospitality Business Management within Carson College of Business, Washington State University, has a diverse academic background. He completed his undergraduate studies at China University of Mining and Technology (2013-2017), specializing in Economics and Finance. Following this, Wayne pursued a master's degree at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (2017-2020), focusing on Management. During his master's, he also experienced an exchange program at the University of Minnesota (2019), concentrating on Tourism Management. Prior to his current studies, he commenced his Ph.D. journey at Texas A&M University for a year.<br> Wayne's teaching focus encompasses tourism management, hospitality finance, consumer behavior, and food & beverage. He has contributed significantly as a teaching assistant in various related courses such as IBUS 380, IBUS 435, HBM 235, HBM 480, HBM 491, HBM 495, and MGMT 450, and currently instructs HBM 495 and HBM 235. <br> His research delves into Technology Application, Consumer Behavior, Racial Diversity, Tourism Economics, Hospitality Finance, and Sustainability.
