Garth Mader

Garth Mader is Director of Carson Business Solutions, a student-consultancy launched out of the Carson College of Business in 2020, and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship since 2019. He received his M.B.A. (emphasis finance) from the Albers School of Business at Seattle University and a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from the Foster School of Business at University of Washington.<br>Mader is a strategic business leader with more than 25 years experience building leadership teams, developing growth strategies, driving innovation, and delivering profitable results across a range of industries and business models. His specialties include strategic communications, customer experience, physical and digital strategy, technical innovation, continuous improvement, brand creation and marketing, leadership recruitment and development, and finance.<br><br>Garth spent the last 13 years at Amazon where he served in a variety of leadership roles including Founding Director Amazon Private Brands, CEO MyHabit (an Amazon company), Director Amazon Clothing, CEO Woot (an Amazon acquisition), and Amazon GM of Mobile Electronics and Softlines categories. Garth is best known for his work building new, disruptive customer experiences as well as helping drive efficiency, scale and profitability of startups and new business models. Prior to Amazon, Garth spent 13 years in leadership and merchandising roles at Nordstrom Inc, in both physical and digital channels, and served on the founding team for Nordstrom.com.<br><br>
